Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month February 2026
Make a life-changing difference in someone's darkest moment.
This February, NEWS will launch “I’d Peel an Orange for You,” a countywide Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month campaign centered on kindness, care, and healthy relationship culture.
Inspired by the national TDVAM color orange, and the youth-popular Orange Peel Theory, the campaign highlights how small, everyday acts of care—like peeling an orange for someone—can be meaningful expressions of respect and attentiveness.
Throughout the month, youth across Napa County will participate in:
Orange Love Notes activation days at schools and youth organizations
Nimbus Nim-BUS mobile art experiences in American Canyon, Napa, and Calistoga, sign ups coming soon!
A community art exhibit and celebration at the end of the month, showcasing student artwork and voices at The River Club and the Nimbus Napa Studio
Students and youth organizations will have multiple ways to participate, whether through on-site activations, independent art submissions, or registered art days.
Become a Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Counselor
For those interested in deeper involvement, NEWS offers a 72-Hour Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Counselor Training (mandated by CalOES). Volunteers who complete the training become certified advocates providing crisis support, survivor advocacy, and community education.
