Bringing Our Community Together for Safety

Events bring our community together to support survivors and strengthen prevention. Throughout the year, NEWS hosts events that raise awareness, celebrate resilience, and mobilize support for safety, dignity, and respect across Napa County.

From Walk-A-Mile Napa Valley to community trainings, awareness campaigns, and prevention education events, there are many ways to learn, connect, and get involved.

This April, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, NEWS Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse Services is inviting the Napa County community to take part in the WE BELIEVE Napa campaign.Throughout the month, local businesses will display WE BELIEVE window clings in their storefronts as a visible reminder that survivors are supported here. These simple words carry powerful meaning. For someone who has experienced sexual violence, seeing “WE BELIEVE” in their community can be the first signal that they are not alone.
This annual gathering brings together survivors, families, students, businesses, and community leaders to stand together and make one thing clear: violence has no place in our homes, schools, or community.
