Walk A Mile

"Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" is Sunday, April 14th at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Napa from 1 – 3 pm. There is an old saying: "You can't understand another person's experience until you've walked a mile in their shoes." To get people listening, learning, and talking, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® events organize around people walking one mile in red high-heeled shoes. Join NEWS and our community partners as we share resources and ways you can support survivors and build a connected community. All are welcome! Registration is only $10 for individuals and $120+ for teams.

As we approach Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, stay tuned for more information about happenings around town, events, and how you can make a difference in someone’s life!

If you are experiencing abuse or would just like some information, please call our help line, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Board ReunionPhoto by Art & Clarity

Last month we hosted past, present, and honorary board members for a NEWS Board Reunion! It was a joy to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions these individuals have made to NEWS’ history over the years. Current Board President Danis Kreimeier and Executive Director Tracy Lamb shared stories from the past but also spoke about how everyone can be an advocate for the NEWS mission. Even Congressman Mike Thompson, an Honorary Board Member, was part of the fun and shared a congratulatory message. We were glad to reconnect with those from the past 20+ years of service and look forward to the future!

THANKFUL FOR OUR SUPPORTERS!
