Thank you for joining us in our work to end domestic violence and sexual abuse. Each year, your support helps us to provide shelter, housing, and critical services to over 1,500 survivors in Napa County each year.  

However, these are unusual times, and this is a holiday season like no other.

In the past nine months we have seen requests for NEWS services rise dramatically. The risk of family violence has increased and has been compounded by COVID-19 and the fires. Many survivors work in industries that have been affected. They have lost income and have faced unemployment, causing and increasing vulnerability. Women and children living in households with domestic violence have been particularly affected. The intersection of disaster and domestic violence is clear.  

Therefore, we are doing something a little different this year.

Our holiday wish is to bring hope to struggling families in our neighborhoods. NEWS is giving you the opportunity to gift a portion of your NEWS holiday donation to the Napa Valley Community Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund. This will not only support survivors of NEWS, but help all Napans in the long-term recovery of our community.
