Brenda Llamas - Outreach & Prevention Coord

NEWS Welcomes Brenda Llamas-Pedroza

Brenda LlamasIn November, NEWS welcomed a new staff member, Brenda Llamas-Pedroza, as the Outreach & Prevention Coordinator. Brenda comes to NEWS from the Napa Valley Unified School District where she was the Even Start Family Literacy Program Director, and the Butte County Migrant Office of Education where she was a Summer Program Tutor. As Outreach & Prevention Coordinator at NEWS, Brenda will be making presentations at the Middle and High Schools in Napa County educating the youth about dating violence and sexual assault awareness & prevention. She will cover topics including safety with text messages (sexting), facebook and social media, dating, and bullying. Brenda’s position is funded by grants from Auction Napa Valley and the Rape Prevention & Education Program.
