Curricula

YOUthMatter staff are certified in and utilize the following evidence-based curricula:

Be Strong from the Inside Out builds on concepts of womanhood, respect, and positive relationships. The objective is to help young women define and discover the kind of women they want to be while developing protective factors against violence and other unhealthy behaviors.

Expect Respect supports youth in changing social norms as well as increasing bystander interventions and individual skills for healthy relationships.

A Window Between Worlds provides an opportunity for the students to authentically express their identity, hopes, dreams, and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental space using evidence-based art therapy curriculum.

In Touch with Teens empowers youth to have healthy relationships by teaching about: power and control; media literacy; and sexual harassment/assault and dating violence. It also addresses prosocial skills (e.g., empathy, communication, problem solving, and bystander accountability).

Young Men’s Work: Stopping Violence and Building Community teaches young men alternatives to violence and to celebrate their strength, experience, creativity, and intelligence.
