LUNAFEST!

A pre-reception with wine and small bites will be offered from 6:45 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Local non-profits that help make a difference in the lives of girls and women will benefit from the proceeds raised at Lunafest. The local organizations that are this year’s recipients are Girls on the Run Napa & Solano, NEWS Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse Services, and Soroptimist International of St. Helena Sunrise. Nationally, the Chicken & Egg Pictures, championing and celebrating women storytellers, is a beneficiary. A new chance to win lots of wine from local women wine makers or winery owners will be played.

This year’s films create a platform for women’s untold stories about hope, misperceptions, #metoo, reflection, breaking barriers, escaping captivity and dreams. Incredibly diverse in style and content, LUNAFEST is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling - by, for and about women. In this year’s Oscar’s Greta Gerwig is the only women nominated for best director this year and the fifth ever.

Celebrate International Women’s Day by joining and helping change how girls and women are viewed in film and become part of our community “that helps take us to the time when no one has to say Me Too again!” Purchase tickets for $55/$20(student) through Eventbrite  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lunafest-napa-valley-napa-ca-tickets-42127263780. Sponsorships are available to help empower girls and women locally and in film with reserved seating. Email lunafestnapavalley@gmail.com to become a champion for women and girls.
